Private Transfer from Sierra Nevada to Faro Airport
Finish your winter holiday with a comfortable private transfer from Sierra Nevada Ski Resort to Faro Airport.
Your driver will collect you from your hotel, apartment or another accessible location in Sierra Nevada / Pradollano and take you directly to Faro Airport (FAO).
The journey is approximately 470–480 km and normally takes around 5 hours 15 minutes to 5 hours 45 minutes, depending on traffic, weather, mountain-road conditions, comfort breaks and the exact collection point.
Because the journey begins in a mountain environment, we strongly recommend allowing an additional safety margin when travelling to catch a flight.
Unlike combining mountain buses, trains or other transport services, a private transfer allows you to travel in the same vehicle from your ski accommodation directly to Faro Airport.
There are no station changes and no need to move skis, snowboards, suitcases or other equipment between different services.
A comfortable journey from the mountains to the Algarve

For most groups carrying several skis, snowboard bags and suitcases, an MPV or Van will be the most practical option.

Collection from Sierra Nevada and Pradollano
Private collection can be arranged from accessible hotels, apartments and accommodation throughout the Pradollano resort area.
Please provide your exact accommodation when booking.
The collection point may occasionally need to be adjusted because of:
Heavy snowfall
Ice
Temporary road closures
Traffic restrictions
Limited access around individual hotels or apartment buildings
Official winter-road regulations
Where normal vehicle access is available, your driver will collect you as close as possible to your accommodation.
Passenger safety and legal road access always take priority.
Travelling with skis and snowboards
Skis, snowboards and other winter-sports equipment can be transported when arranged in advance.
Please provide:
Number of passengers
Number of suitcases
Number of ski bags
Number of snowboard bags
Any additional oversized equipment
This information allows us to allocate the correct vehicle.
Which vehicle should I choose?
A Sedan may be suitable for a small group with limited luggage.
An MPV provides additional capacity and may be more appropriate for smaller groups travelling with ski equipment.
A Van is normally the best choice for families or groups carrying multiple ski bags, snowboards and suitcases.
If you are unsure, contact us before booking and provide your complete luggage and equipment information.
Travelling to Faro Airport
If you are travelling directly to catch a flight, please provide your flight departure time when booking.
We recommend allowing a generous safety margin because this is a long international journey and the first section takes place on mountain roads.
The journey time may be affected by:
Snow
Ice
Weather
Mountain traffic
Road restrictions
Accidents or road works
Traffic around Seville or the Algarve
Your pick-up time should therefore be planned according to your flight schedule and current seasonal conditions.
Remember that Faro is normally one hour behind Sierra Nevada.
This time difference should always be considered when planning your airport transfer.
Make the journey part of your trip
If your flight schedule allows, the journey can also include sightseeing.
For this route, we recommend Antequera, Seville, Cacela Velha and Tavira.
These are optional experiences rather than mandatory stops.
Which stops can be combined?
The best itinerary depends primarily on your flight departure time.
- Antequera only for historic Andalusia and archaeological heritage.
- Seville only for the strongest major-city cultural experience.
- Cacela Velha only for a shorter panoramic stop after entering Portugal.
- Tavira only for a traditional eastern Algarve town.
- Antequera and Seville create an excellent Andalusian history and culture combination.
- Seville and Cacela Velha create a balanced Spain–Portugal itinerary.
- Cacela Velha and Tavira work particularly well together in the eastern Algarve.
- Antequera, Seville and Cacela Velha can be incorporated into a longer customised journey.
- Antequera, Seville, Cacela Velha and Tavira can all be included in a full-day road trip when no same-day flight connection is involved.
If you have a flight from Faro Airport on the same day, we normally recommend travelling directly or choosing only a short sightseeing stop.
Flight connections should always take priority over sightseeing.
